Each of the images above are stills from one of the videos taken below. Using this method, I’m able to create this work completely on my own. My poses are reflective of the landscape I’m in.
Terrace Dance
The house I stayed at in the Canary islands was built into the side of a mountain and was made with many terraces to fit into the landscape. I spent lots of time on this terrace practicing a style of movement informed by my experience in Estatic Dance, a free-form, unchoreographed dance without specific steps, focusing on release and connection with the music and body.
